Dr. CVG Choudary
Dr.CVG Chowdary was one of the earliest pioneers of veterinary education in India and was widely known in veterinary and scientific circles both in India and abroad. MAJOR DR.C.V.G. CHOWDARY - 1914-1989 Gorantla Chinna Venkateswarlu Choudary was born in a village called Veerannapalem in present day Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, in the year 1914. His father Gorantla Veerarghavaiah owned agricultural land and was also the village Munsif. Father was the eldest of four siblings - three brothers Ramaih Choudary, Venkata Subbaiah, Buchiya Choudary and a sister Smt.Kodali Lakshmi Devamma He did his early schooling and High School education at Bapatla, in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. On completing his secondary education, he enrolled in the B.Sc program at Pithapur Raja’s College in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
